Mehaffies Pies Review

As an avid pie enthusiast, my quest for the best pie in Dayton has brought me to Mehaffies Pies, a place that promised much but delivered a rather mixed bag. Walking into the quaint bakery, I was greeted by the sweet aroma of baked goods, but I couldn't help but notice that some of the pies appeared a bit moldy—not the ideal start to a pie adventure!

I sampled several flavors, hoping to find a gem. Unfortunately, the inconsistent flavor profiles left much to be desired. Each bite of my cherry pie was a lesson in ambiguity: some pieces sang vibrant notes, while others faltered into an unidentifiable aftertaste. The crust? Sadly, it was both soggy and tough, which is akin to finding a precious gem in a landfill—a rare disappointment.

To top it all off, the customer service was underwhelming, with staff that seemed indifferent to my pie plight. While Mehaffies may have nostalgic charm, it's clear that their pies are in need of a revival. Unfortunately, I cannot wholeheartedly recommend them for those looking to indulge in pie perfection.

When I stepped into Partial To Pie Bakery, I felt like I'd been whisked away to a cozy 1940s café—complete with the intoxicating aroma of baking pies that wafted through the air. This charming spot truly captures the essence of homemade goodness, making it a must-visit for pie lovers like myself.

I couldn’t resist the classic apple pie, which boasts a flaky crust that crumbles perfectly with each bite. The filling is a delightful medley of sweet and tart apples, perfectly spiced to evoke nostalgia. What I appreciated most was the balance between savory and sweet options on the menu, allowing everyone to find something to satisfy their cravings.

The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming, which added to the inviting atmosphere. I felt as if I had become part of a family gathering rather than merely a customer in a bakery. Plus, the reasonable prices and generous portions made indulging guilt-free!

Overall, if you're in Dayton and looking for a slice of happiness, I highly recommend visiting Partial To Pie Bakery. You might just find yourself partial to their pies!
